Hello again! I changed teams pages today, now I hope all is fine and we could start adding the introductions-recordings in the page of each pupil:) Nobody said a word about creating avatars!!! If you want I could attache the list of their names. Would you mind to tell me the name of the schools that are involved in the project and their country, please? I am still interested, but I thought I was only joining a school in Spain. You didn't mention this is your email. I would like to know the school names and countries that are participating, so I can tell this to my students and parents.
I hope you did not change your projects ( voice recording, school video, Xmas cards, a fall or winter diaporama and a summary). In your first email, you said that you wanted to do these projects before December. It doesn't give me much time cause I have two classes that I see two times per month. It would be better for me to do one project per month. Examples: October (voice recording)

I have a total of 47 sudents aged between 11 and 12 years old (21 girls and 26 boys).

Just to inform you, Mr Koutandos, my headmaster, will send a report to our regional superintendent tomorrow morning, mentioning the name of our project as well as our names (mine and his) as the teachers in charge. The teachers of E' and ST' classes will let me use some time out of their flexible zone classes (classes aiming at free project work) to carry out our project.I had to change my profile in twinspace as I work in Maroussi (a suburb north of Athens) for two years now. A friend lent me a digital voice recorder to use for my students' recordings (E' class: 22 std., ST' class:18 std. = 40 std. altogether). The following week I will ask them to write down a brief presentation of themselves - of about10 lines - and read them in class. I won't record them yet. I am not in a hurry, but on the 28th we have our National holiday and we will have to prepare stds. for the parade. This means that every day they'll have to practise marching and this is not only done during the P.E. lessons but also during the English lesson. I was also thinking that it would be a nice idea if we had our stds. talk about themselves through animated images. I don't know how hard or easy this might be and how long it would take, but as I was surfing the voki site I thought that it will be fun for them to create voki avatars and give them their voice to speak and present themselves to their peers in Spain. I visited the free voki site and I found out that every student has only 60 sec. to speak. Do you think that's enough time for a single presentation? Moreover, in the free version of voki each std. has to register, which is a time consuming process, giving his/her e-mail address (not the school's). In Greece very few stds. have e-mails. Of course I am interested in joining you! I have accepted your invitation in the e-twinning site and visited the wikispace you've created. The total number of my students is 40 out of which the 22 are 5th graders (9 boys and 13 girls) and the 18 6th graders (10 boys and 8 girls). The 5th Grade stds are 10 to 11 years old and the 6th Grade stds are 11 to 12 years old respectively.
A few questions which are important to me - as next week I will have very little time with my students due to the National Holiday on the 28th Oct. so I will have to ask them to write a few things about themselves the soonest possible - are:
a. How long will each recording last on average? (less than 1min? up to 2 minutes?)
b. Should they all start their presentations mentioning their country of origin?
c. As more experienced in computers what's your opinion on creating voki animations for our stds. presentations? - I was thinking that if we wanted to pair off our stds, a good way would be (apart from their possible common interests) the similarity of the vokis they would have created..Of course I don't know whether the variety of vokis the software provides allows for such similarities to occur... Doing so, we also get some clues about the way our stds see themselves without being afraid to be criticized...
By the way, have you read my last e-mail? I'm writing some ideas about voki avatars in there... Your opinion counts here as the time span for our project seems prohibitory for this kind of plans...

Our project is ready to start, and first we would like to ask you few questions:
The first one, of course, is if you are still interested in the project!
If the answer is yes (We hope so), our second question is if you know how many pupils would you like to involve?
We were thinking in a nice way to organizate the wiki and also our pupils trying that each of them could have the possibility of knowing a "partner friend" to who they'll send their Christmas card by post. To do it, we need to know how many pupils we will have and how to join them .
We need also to know the age of your pupils.
Also we were thinking in a way to comunicate all teachers and have all of us the same information. Sometimes when we send a mail to all members, one of them don't get it and when it happens, it is a problem. We though a nice way is creating in our wiki special page where we all could comunicate and write the messages there instead of emails. It will be ready soon. But for now, as it is still not ready, I will be waiting your mails with the answers:).
